Start 30 days freeEvery store gets one 30-day trial with everything unlocked, starting the first time you open Posto. No payment details. Choose a plan and billing starts that day through Shopify. Choose nothing and you move to the Free plan. You're never charged without picking a plan.
Through Shopify, on the same bill as everything else, monthly or yearly. Posto never sees your payment details. Change or cancel your plan on Shopify's own plan page.
No. Pay monthly through Shopify and cancel anytime on Shopify's own plan page. Yearly billing is there if you want it, but it's never required. Yearly plans aren't refunded if you cancel partway through the year. Your price is based on how many suppliers you buy from, never on your sales.
Yes, that's the one thing that separates the plans. Free covers 1 supplier, Starter up to 5, and Growth as many as you buy from.
Nothing stops and nothing is deleted. Anything over your plan's limit, like an extra supplier, becomes read-only until you upgrade. You're never moved to a paid plan automatically.
No. Install Posto, import your suppliers and costs (or add them by hand), and start ordering. There's no sales call, no demo, and no onboarding session to book.
Yes. Posto's Free plan covers 1 supplier and up to 50 products, with every feature: reorder suggestions, purchase orders emailed to your supplier, and landed cost. Bigger stores pay $19 or $39 a month, based on how many suppliers you buy from, never on your sales. Shopify's built-in tools are free too. They create and receive purchase orders, but they can't email them to your supplier or spread freight and duty into each unit's cost.
Yes, by CSV. Drop in Stocky's purchase order exports and Posto rebuilds your suppliers, what each one sells with its latest cost, and your order history. Costs and orders from any other app or spreadsheet work too. Posto previews everything first and skips anything it can't match, and running an import again updates your records instead of duplicating them.
Purchase orders, inventory history, and historical costs, as CSV reports. You can export them for at least 90 days after August 31, 2026. Suppliers, lead times, and minimums can't be exported, but Posto rebuilds your suppliers from your purchase order exports and measures lead times from your past deliveries.
No. Posto doesn't print price or barcode labels, scan barcodes, or run stock counts. It focuses on what to reorder, sending the order, and what each unit really cost. For labels, Shopify's free Retail Barcode Labels app prints them from your product list. Stock counts can be run in the Shopify admin, and counting in Shopify POS needs POS Pro.
No. Importing never changes your stock. Posto only changes inventory when you record stock received on a purchase order. If an imported order was still open, you can receive it when it arrives, and only the units that hadn't arrived yet are added.
No. Posto uses standard inventory math, the kind you could check in a spreadsheet. It averages each product's recent daily sales, leaves out days you were sold out, and adjusts for your seasonal pattern and holiday peaks. Every recommendation has a "Why this quantity?" breakdown, every input is yours to change, and the full method is published on our How Posto calculates page.
Posto forecasts from your recent sales, currently around the last 60 days of orders, and projects demand forward with Black Friday and the holiday peak built in. It gets sharper as your history grows. Products with thin history are flagged, so you know when a number is a rough estimate.
You enter each supplier's lead time (how long they take to deliver), or import it from a spreadsheet. Once 3 orders from a supplier have arrived within the past year, Posto switches to the average of how long they actually took and labels it "measured," so you always know where the number came from. Past orders you import count too, if they arrived within the past year. If one product takes longer than the rest, give it its own lead time and Posto uses that instead.
Posto forecasts store-wide, from your sales across all your locations together. You choose which Shopify location to receive each purchase order into. If forecasting by location would help your store, tell us through the feature request form. We read every request.
Yes. Posto reads stock across all your locations, including POS locations, and you choose which location to receive each order into. Forecasts are store-wide, not per location.
It reads products, inventory levels, locations, and each order's date and quantities. It never reads customer names, emails, addresses, or payment details. It only changes your store when you record stock received on a purchase order: it updates inventory counts and, if you turn it on, the cost per item. It only contacts suppliers when you choose to email them.
Yes, anytime. Your data is always yours. Posto exports everything it stores for your store as one zip file: suppliers, product costs, purchase orders, and your settings, as spreadsheets, plus a README that explains each file. The supplier, cost, and purchase order files import straight back into Posto. If you uninstall, Shopify cancels your subscription and Posto deletes your store's data about 48 hours later, so export first if you want a copy.
It doesn't sync with accounting software, match invoices, print labels, scan barcodes, run stock counts or approval chains, or post to Slack. It keeps its own purchase orders instead of reading Shopify's, and it only works with Shopify.
Install Posto, bring your suppliers and costs over, and send your first purchase order. 30 days free, everything unlocked, no payment details.
