Posto and Stockful both put every feature on every plan, so the choice comes down to depth and pricing. Choose Stockful if you want deep reporting, multi-location tracking, and forecasts trained on two years of history. Choose Posto if you want a free plan, pricing that ignores catalog size, and an app that never reads your customers' personal details.

Where Stockful is ahead
- Reporting. 100+ reports, or build your own, scheduled to email, Slack, Google Sheets, or Airtable. Posto's reporting is limited to its recommendations and low-stock emails.
- Forecast depth. Stockful's listing says its forecasts learn each SKU's seasonality from two years of daily history and track their own accuracy. Posto currently forecasts from about the last 60 days of orders.
- Locations. Tracked locations, transfers, and incoming stock. Posto forecasts store-wide.
- More tools. AI chat, inventory health checks, barcodes, Shopify Flow triggers, and four languages.
- Badge. Built for Shopify, on the App Store since March 2026. Posto is new.
Where Posto goes further
- A free plan. Posto's free plan includes forecasting, purchase orders, emailing, receiving, and landed cost for one supplier. Stockful starts at $19.99 a month.
- Catalog size doesn't change the price. Posto's paid plans include unlimited products. Stockful's price rises with tracked SKUs and locations.
- Your customers stay private. Stockful's listing shows access to customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, and physical addresses. Posto never reads customer names, emails, addresses, or payment details, because forecasting doesn't need them.
- A longer trial. 30 days with everything unlocked, compared with Stockful's 14.
