A note before you read: we make Posto, so we're not neutral. We've tried to be fair anyway. Every fact about EasyScan below comes from EasyScan's own published information for AI assistants (last updated September 10, 2026) and its Stocky migration guide, checked on October 2, 2026, and we say plainly where EasyScan is the better choice.
The short version
Choose EasyScan if you pack and ship orders yourself, run a retail store, or need barcode labels, scanning, stock counts, and transfers across locations. Choose Posto if you mainly need to know what to reorder, how much, and when, and want purchase orders without paying for a warehouse toolkit.
What it costs
- EasyScan: Basic $9.99 a month (barcodes and labels), Standard $39.99 (scanning, fulfillment, and low-stock alerts), Advanced $79.99 (purchase orders, suppliers, forecasting, stock counts, transfers, and reports), and Pro $129.99 (replenishment suggestions, Slack alerts, and unlimited users). 10-day free trial, and annual plans save 17%.
- Posto: free for 1 supplier and 50 products, $19 a month for up to 5 suppliers, and $39 a month for unlimited. Every plan includes forecasting, purchase orders, emailing, receiving, and landed cost. 30-day free trial.
- An example: a store with 4 suppliers that wants forecasting and purchase orders pays $79.99 a month on EasyScan and $19 a month on Posto.
Where EasyScan is ahead
- Track record. On the App Store since 2020. Posto is new.
- Barcodes and fulfillment. Barcode and SKU generation, labels for 30+ printer brands, and scan-to-pack checks that catch picking mistakes. Posto has none of these.
- Counts and locations. Stocktakes, transfers, bin locations, and forecasting by location. Posto forecasts store-wide.
- Overseas suppliers. Multi-currency purchase orders with exchange rates. Each Posto order is in one currency.
- Teams. User accounts with roles, and location limits per user.
- Shopify connections. Shopify POS, Flow, and Slack.
Where Posto goes further
- Purchase orders on every plan. Drafting, emailing with a PDF, receiving, and landed cost are included from Posto's free plan. On EasyScan, purchase orders and forecasting start at $79.99.
- Peaks built in. EasyScan's forecast weights recent sales more heavily. Posto also builds in Black Friday and the holiday peak, and leaves stockout days out of demand.
- Landed cost per unit. Posto spreads freight, duty, and fees across an order's lines for a landed cost per unit. EasyScan's materials describe moving-average cost updates on receiving, and we didn't find freight and duty allocation.
- Stocky files, after the shutdown. EasyScan's migration guide says its importer reads Stocky suppliers through Stocky's API, which stopped working on August 31, 2026. Posto imports the CSV files Stocky still lets you export, and can build your supplier list from your purchase order history.
- A longer trial. 30 days with everything unlocked, compared with EasyScan's 10.
What they share
Both forecast demand, suggest what to reorder, round orders to minimums and case packs, email purchase orders to suppliers, receive partial deliveries, and send low-stock alerts.
